Beginner/Intermediate Adult Acting Classes
Course Overview:
Whether you wish to advance and hone your skills or simply want a weekly dose of your acting passion, these highly popular classes, in a dynamic group environment with your peers, use script-based techniques to push you to be your best. For all levels of experience, be challenged to explore and develop your acting techniques further as you gain a deeper understanding of what your abilities as an actor can be in this trusting, supportive and exciting class.
Celebrate your individuality while honouring the collaborative world of the actor.
Monday and Saturday classes will focus on monologues with two contrasting monologues worked on throughout the term. Wednesday classes will focus on scene/group work.
Course Outline:
Breakdown of the term:
Weeks 1-8: In depth analysis and development of monologues/scenes (including filming of the initial reads)
Week 9 in Terms 1 to 3: Informal showcase for invited friends and family (filmed for feedback and analysis)
Week 10 in Terms 1 to 3: Feedback
Week 10 for Term 4: Formal showcase (a ticketed event open to the public)
LIMITED TO ONLY 12 STUDENTS PER CLASS
